Inside the app
Your roadmap, daily speaking practice and live class booking, all in one place.

Small classes. A real teacher. A little practice every day.
That is the whole idea. Children learn to understand and speak by listening, repeating and using the words, one friendly conversation at a time.
Questions
Who is the program for?
Children who want to understand and speak Amharic, especially families who want their kids to talk with grandparents and relatives. Adults are welcome too. There are Beginner and Intermediate classes.
What will my child be able to do after 6 months?
The goals are realistic and step by step: greet and introduce themselves in the first two months, hold short conversations about food, school and their day by month four, and by month six keep a two to three minute conversation going on familiar topics. Progress depends on regular practice at home and on attending consistently.
How do classes work?
Live on Zoom with a teacher, with up to 8 students in a class. Materials and homework are shared in Google Classroom. There are Saturday and Wednesday classes in New York time.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Apply with the form, and once approved you get 3 days to try the first 3 lessons of Unit 1. The trial is once per person.
How do I pay?
By Zelle or Venmo only. The app shows you exactly what to send and puts a short code in the note so your payment is found right away.
Does my child need to read the Ethiopian alphabet?
No. The program focuses on listening and speaking. Every phrase is shown in Amharic script and in English letters so families can follow along.
What if we miss a class?
You can cancel or move a class up to a few hours before it starts. Ask your teacher about make-up options.
