Who we are
EthioPlus Language Corner runs live online Amharic classes and a learning app. In these terms "we" means the teacher who runs the program, and "you" means the learner or the parent or guardian signing up for them.
Accounts
Each learner has an account. A parent or guardian should create and manage the account for a child. Keep your password private. We may close an account that breaks these terms; a closed account loses access to classes and the app, and money already paid is not touched by the closure itself.
Classes
Classes happen live on Zoom at the times shown in the app, in New York time. Group classes have up to eight students. You can cancel or move a class up to the number of hours before it starts that is shown in the app. A class is charged when attendance is marked, not when you book it.
Plans and payment
A monthly plan covers 4 classes. Payment is by Zelle or Venmo only; we do not take cards. Put the code shown on the pay screen in the payment note so we can match it. A plan starts when your first payment is confirmed. If a monthly bill goes unpaid for too long the plan ends. If you cancel, you keep access to the end of the month you paid for.
Free trial
A free trial is available once per person, after an application is approved. It covers only the first lessons of Unit 1.
Results
The goals shown for each stage are targets for students who attend consistently and practice at home. They are not a promise of a particular result.
Behavior
Be kind in classes and chats. Do not share lesson files; they carry your name and email. We may remove content and close accounts that put others at risk.
Changes
We may update these terms. We will show a notice in the app when they change in a way that matters.
